In the series of community activities by UA Group, the recent volunteer trip to Vung Tau left profound memories for everyone involved. Not only was it an opportunity to spread love and share kindness with those less fortunate, but it also served as a moment of deep gratitude and reverence, as we visited the Memorial House of Võ Thị Sáu to honor her resilient patriotic spirit.
1. A Journey Toward the Community
The main goal of this volunteer trip was to provide practical support to disadvantaged households in Vung Tau. The team visited and delivered meaningful gifts to the elderly living alone, orphaned children, and families lacking basic necessities.
The donated items included
- Food and essential supplies (rice, cooking oil, sugar, milk, etc.)
- Basic medical items (face masks, medicine, etc.)
- Cash donations to help cover daily expenses
The warm, welcoming atmosphere and heartfelt gratitude from the local residents helped our volunteer team truly grasp the meaning of giving. Each smile and each handshake became a silent reminder of the power of compassion and human connection.
2. Visit to the Memorial House of Vo Thi Sau
After completing the volunteer program, the team took time to visit the Memorial House of Vo Thi Sau — the young heroine in Vietnam’s history of the fight for independence and freedom. The solemn and sacred space stirred deep emotions in everyone as we reflected on her unwavering will and courageous spirit.
Here, we listened once again to the story of her life and ultimate sacrifice — the story of a brave daughter of “Dat Do”. Her fearless defiance in the face of the enemy awakened in us a renewed sense of patriotism and national pride. The visit also served as a moment of reflection and gratitude for the sacrifices of those who came before us, while inspiring the present and future generations to live responsibly and contribute meaningfully to society.
